COD Screening Services
It is recommended to begin COD screening 6 to 9 months before the COD date to support optimal and timely claim resolution.

Our process streamlines claim resolution by confirming Maximum Medical Recovery (MMR) and the client’s functional abilities, limitations and restrictions to deliver informed recommendations.
Step 1: File Review
The goal of the file review is, ultimately, to determine if the client has reached maximal medical recovery, to provide an overview of their vocational profile, and to understand all medical and non-medical factors contributing to their ongoing absence.
Step 2: Informed Recommendations
After the file review is complete, the VRC will begin to build a recommended action plan, tailored to the client’s needs. We use the following decision matrix to guide our recommendations:

Step 3: Implementation of Action Plan
After recommendations have been reviewed and approved, the VRC then implements and monitors the action plan in accordance with the outcomes listed above. In this stage, the VRC coordinates rehab services and monitors progress through frequent updates with the client and medical providers.
Step 4: Employability Confirmation and Claim Resolution
Once employability has been confirmed, a labour market survey and retraining cost summary, job search training, and/or job coaching may be recommended to further increase the employability of the client and ensure lasting return-to-work success.
